I went out shopping last night and while I was in Circuit City I checked out the X-Box. I remember checking it out a couple of months ago, and it didn't look so great. The games didn't have a good framerate and it didn't look very powerful. But with the production version in the stores, it looks totally different. The games play great now... high detail, and a full 60 fps. I also played the GameCube and the PS2, but they were not very impressive, the GameCube seemed especially weak. I know there's a lot of loyal PS2 fans out there whose minds are not open to the possibility of there being better systems out there, but once you play both systems there is no denying that the X-Box has quite a bit more power. Its games seem to have consistently higher framerates and detail levels than PS2 games. It's really no surprise either: [ http://www.xsnake.com/ps2/head2head.html ] People are probably going to blast me for this because the PS2 seems to be the official system of this board, but over time I think we'll see a lot of opinions changing once people see the difference in power of these systems (The Xbox is about twice as powerful)
